Soothe your senses, season with care, and embrace vitality.
There are many reasons for purchasing a salt lamp. You might just simply love the distinctive natural look of hand-mined salt or the beautiful amber glow it emits, or you’re looking to absorb some of its many benefits. Whatever the case may be, leave your worries behind and keep that salt lamp glowing all day and overnight (as long as you’re home of course!)
For this reason if you leave a salt lamp anywhere, especially out in the open or in humid environments, water from the air will collect some condensation on its exterior, and then slowly evaporate into your air. When it begins to condense, water will drip to the base hence the terms crying, melting, shedding and leaking.
Himalayan salt is rock salt mined from the Himalayas in the Punjab region of modern Pakistan. It is believed to have formed millions of years ago from the evaporation of ancient waters known as the Primal Sea. As the waters evaporated, it created salt deposits that were covered by lava, snow and ice. This maintained its purity and protected it from pollution making Himalayan Pink salt the purest salt on earth!
The only pink salt mine in the world is situated in Khewra, Pakistan. Despite common misconceptions, pink salt is not found in the Himalayas but is exclusively mined from this location.
